We visited IES Al Fakar in April 2023. Together with our Spanish friends, we were introduced to Alfacar and neighboring Granada through many activities, focused on our common goals:

1. application of modern pedagogical practices and methods,

2. environmental awareness,

3. inclusion and acceptance,

4. use of foreign languages and cooperation in a multicultural environment.

In this context, activities and workshops were implemented such as the following:

-Presentations of the delegations. Presentation of local dialects through digital quizzes and games (Kahoot).

-Getting familiar with local dances, non-verbal communication and expression.

-Tour by the Spanish group to the local traditional bakers, experiential approach to the entire bread production process (Alfacar PDO product).

-Arab tradition, guided tour of the historical Arab monuments of Alfacar by the Spanish group.

-Interactive tour of mixed groups of students in the historic center of Granada.

-Tour of the Alhambra using audio guides, created by the Spanish team.

-The timeless importance of water: introduction to the traditional irrigation and water supply system of Granada, organized tour.

-The life and work of F.G. Lorca: presentation of the great writer and preparation of a theatrical performance based on his work with the participation of the Greek group.

-Creation of digital, interactive diaries of the visit (Genially).

-Arabic traditional decoration, geometry and mathematics: interdisciplinary presentation.

It was a week full of new knowledge, experiences and emotions. Thank you for everything Alfacar!
